I was a factory repair tech Edison Armtec U/V and IR monitors 1987. I do not have any schematics but can offer you some info. The circuit board contained both a DC and AC circuits. AC was for U/V bulb and DC was logic and IR. U/V Bulb: A small 120:900Vac xfmr, ~ 2ma supplied power to contact on the U/V bulb. The other contact acted was sourced to a relay. The distance between the 2 probes inside the bulb ~ 2cm. When U/V energy (flame - level of 1800 angstroms) was present, the patented gas inside the bulb conducted electricity across the open (~ 2cm) contacts. This energized a relay whose contacts tripped an alarm. Most of the problems with the detectors was separation of DC wafers chips, electrolytic capacitors, gas just leaked from bulbs and had to be replaced.
