Ltd.==========================================REF: SMA/08/0767 FM : MV SAFMARINE ASIA DD : 20.APR.2008 Dear sir, Pls be report that fixed back all navigation light PCB cards and carried out function test.Found as following:- Normally energized navigation lanterns are indicated by dimmable LED (at the PCB with ship-symbol), this LED are blinking in case of fault, additionally causes an acoustical alarm. At this PCB the push-buttom Test/Resst for LED-test and alarm reset is placed,too. Main switch to main supply position. -All lanterns can be switching on and off from tumbler switche which fitted on each PCB. -Lamp test function OK. But the following function not working -Indicating LED not shown during navigation lanterns energized -In case of fault the alarm function was not activated -Found power supply PCB card very hot within few minutes -CHARGE LED indicator on power supply PCB card not lit that mean charging system to back up NiCd battery not working. We Suspected on power supply PCB card., Please kindly arrange shore technician to repair Navigation light system at arrival port Algeciras on ETA 29 April 2008.
