Hi, I acquired (2) old Mutoh IP530 pen plotters from about 1990 or so. Iplan on using 3 of the stepper motors and one of the drive boards for aCNC router table. I need to somehow eliminate the on-board plotter CPU.is there a way I can wire the drive board directly to my parallel porton my computer without going through the CPU board? if so, I cancontrol the motors with off-the-shelf CNC software. I have a 110VDC Magna-Lock that does not hold a part. If I unplug the lead going to the magnet base I have 130. VDC. When I plug it back in I have 64. VDC. I measure strobong resistance on the two leads going to the magnet. Is this repairable and if so do you repair them. I am repairing a door lock at an apartment block showing these symptoms.A transformer feeding the MA-485 is outputting 19.25 volts...will this harm the unit.It is a 16 volt amplifier.B when an apartment station depresses the door button the output at the amplifier terminals for the ac door reads 19.25 volts...but when it is released it only drops to 18.85 volts...which makes me think the relay is stuck on the amplifier.....bottom line do I need a new controller?C the electric strike shows a rating of 24 vac? how could this function well on a 16 volt system?It appears to have been part of this system for some time..and the caretaker has said there are problems with the system as far as people getting in without being buzzed. what is the lowest voltage a 24 volt buzzer could activate at?➡️ Reply Mirtone

Mircom Intercom Amplifer -MA-485 do,s not have any audio sound aplification needed to operate an apartment intercom station . I beleive when the oringinal split transformer 8v for door and 16 vac for the audio burned out because the pos+ side came lose and grounded to the neg - side the replacement was a 120- AC 24 volt 1.67 Amp 40 that I believe it damaged the amplifier circuit leading to no sound at the intercom station.Please correct me if Im wrong at my way of thinking. leewright➡️ Reply Mirtone

I was recently having my Mutoh printer transported when it tipped over in the truck and it slammed down directly on the ink cartridge slot assembly. The ink cartridges were jammed into the machine breaking all the slot mechanisms and snapping off the plastic ink ports at the couplers feeding the metal ink tubes. I am having power issues with my Mutoh VJ-1204 printer.I sent a print to the machine yesterday which caused the printer to failed mysteriously with an error code in the display, however I was unable to capture the error code displayed before cycling the machine. We have installed some Electronic Memory Pressure Gauges to the Martin Decker line tension system they have on the barge (psi value) and then wish to import this information to a spread sheet and convert the psi value to a pound or kilogram value, as per the request of our Global Mooring Team, but we need to find out the formula in which to convert this data. The old system which they are using has a 114,000 kg range in 1000 kg intervals, but until now we have not been able to receive any model information. We have a mirtone EC200 installed in a 36 unit Sr. Care complex with standard call switches in each unit and a call light outside the entry door on the exterior of each unit. The system is powered with a 24VAC transformer. We would like to replace the outdoor lights with a Horn/Strobe combination unit to provide for better indication of the call request for emergency personnel. QUESTION: Can we replace the 24VAC transformer with a 24VDC power supply so that we can use 24VDC horn/strobes on the exterior of the buildings? All field wiring would be compatible with this but I wasnt sure if the EC200 would operate on a DC supply. 24VDC Horn/strobes are readily available but 24VAC ones (especially when they have to be weatherproof too) are extremely hard to find and are very expensive. We recently installed a new print head on our Mutoh Valujet 1304 and I think the tech shorted out the network port on the motherboard (nothing I can prove). I can get it to print test prints but it will not communicate with my computer so I cant send files to it to print using the original motherboard. I have a question on a Machinemate control that Im working on. We finished a retrofit on a mill about 6 years ago, and the machine has been working fine. But recently the probe function stopped working and the next day they had trouble booting up the machine. They had called a technician in, and he had to fix windows to get the control to boot. Windows didnt recognize machinemate after that, and he had to reload the machinemate software, and the ladder program. This is where the customer called us. When the other tech reloaded some of the control he didnt get some of the options reloaded like the extra tool table positions. We got everything back up and the machine is running again, except for the probe. Its been awhile since we worked on MachineMate so we think we got everything reloaded in the folders that they are suppose to be in. When they try to touch off their part with the probe, the axis doesnt stop feeding. From what we can tell the probe is working fine, and is generating a signal. Please give me an estimate to have this valve repaired. It operates the drive wheels on a Simon boom lift. It only allows the machine to move in one direction (forward). I switched the directional hoses around and can tell the problem is with this value as it will go in reverse but now not forward. Appears to be a restriction somewhere in the valve. We have a Melco EMT 10/4T machine with a start-up boot problem. I believe there may be a electronics hardware problem (memory error?). Error is BOOT DISK ERROR_. After replacing the floppy disk drive and new boot floppy disk a closer examination indicates a problem in the self test routine (I think). The system used to go through the self tests and then looks for the floppy but now stops after the RSA Memory Test PASSED, and immediately displays B4 and stays there until enter is pushed again.Do you have any idea where to start troubleshooting? I have an electronics degree so you can talk as technical as you wish. We were hoping to diagnose the problem and send you only the defective part for repair. (my guess is dynamic ram error bank 4 on CPU board but just a guess). See the following boot display sequences.
