I have an L-TEC PCM-VPI plasma cutter. It doesn\'t work, I took it to Valley Welders Supply in Billings, they told me that it needs a new circuit board. What would be the cost and/or is it cheaper to buy a new plasma cutter?Kind Regards,Mike

I have the subject plasma cutter and am trying to use it in a X-Y machine operated by my older computer. It works most of the time but it seems the high frequency start is killing the computer on occasion. Is there a way to disable the hi frequency start circuit ?Thank you Bill

The problem is probably in the trigger or broken wiring back through the leads. If you have any of the electrical drawings, they should show where to close the connection inside the power supply to fire the torch. If it fires that way your problem is in the leads or trigger.
