Sitra Automazione VSD 6Drive is showing a L 08 on the digital display before we try to start the spindle. When we try to start the spindle the drive shuts off & goes black. Any suggestions? I need help, my milling machine is down & I have work backed up for it.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Mike Haverkamp

The above drive is fitted to a Mecof 5 axis milling machine and controls the high speed finishing head.This is the 2nd occasion that the 4 large capacitors, thyristors, power resistors and varistors on the input side of the drive have failed (exploded), welding the main contactor closed blowing 125 …Purchase or Repair: ...The above drive is fitted to a Mecof 5 axis milling machine and controls the high speed finishing head.This is the 2nd occasion that the 4 large capacitors, thyristors, power resistors and varistors on the input side of the drive have failed (exploded), welding the main contactor closed blowing 125 Amp fuses.Following the first repair the machine ran for approx 3 weeks but the same fault has now re occured.After the 1st occasion we thought the input filter may be at fault so we disconnected it and ran the machine without it but now we know this is not the problem.We have replaced all the faulty components but have not tried to run the drive until we hear from you on the issue.We have no manuals or information on the drive to assist us in fault finding or repairs.

Dear Sir,We have one new CP 800 converter with us. On trying to install this unit we found the parameters were missing in the system. When we tried uploading the parameters through the serial interface of the CP 800 we found the system had no firm ware loaded.
