Hi Dan,thanks for your reply I have the cgsm software on a win 98 laptop running in dos and was looking for the cable or pinouts for the cable to connect to the rj11 port on the mxl panel.

Greg,the Siemens CSGM software connects through a device called an XND. This is not a USB to Serial Converter but rather has a DOS Serial driver needed for the CSGM Program to work. Other than the local MXL distributor, where else can I get CSGM Software and CONNECTOR (between laptop and fire panel)? What kind of connector would that be? Is there anything else I need to be able to access programming of the panel?Please help.
