I have the above model doorbell and really like the sound vs. the new \"electronic sound\" doorbells. Problem is the mechanism inside the doorbell (the part with the two knockers that the wires attach that hit the bells to make the sound) no longer works. We purchased our present home in 1998. It was custom built in 1983 with many upgrades that were available at that time. Unfortunately since we have lived here the system does not work. I think what we have may be on the large size as far as the measurements of each room speaker and the main system as well. because of this we are afraid we are looking at a major renovation to replace it. I have Model 380 16V. I had connected it ot a Ring Video 2 Doorbell and it worked fine for several months. Now there is a loud humm coming from the chime. I think the Ring ihas a problem. The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place. I have a 30 year old rittenhouse door chime with the 4 sequential chimes, one of the plungers has gone lazy. I took the transformer out to try to clean it and lost the little spring that gives the plunger resistance . Do you have any ideas ?Or do you sell parts, perhaps a whole tansformer.
