I am looking for a wiring diagram for a Rittenhouse, Spartan Electric, Fayettevile NC C8845 unit which is 30 to 35 years old. It seems to be either able to use two D cells or 16V transformer but I am got sure how to wire it up. Any ideas? Thanks.

The installation manual has been misplaced and I am not sure which wires go to which connection. There is a red wire, a black wire, and a yellow with a green wire.
