Existing model was put in my home maybe late 60\'s, with ivory base unit and 4 ivory receivers plus brass door unit intercom. The radio reception is irregular, fades in and out and there is much static. Sometimes have to jiggle knobs on base unit to tune radio! Any suggestions on where to go for upgrade/ replacement and cost range? Thanks much.Mickey

I have a ritenhouse emerson door chime unit. It just started chimeing for no reason I had to disconnect it to silence it. Now when I hooked it back up nothing happens. Clock doesn\'t work, chimes don\'t work.Model 086331 4 tubed chime It also has a teledcrome syncronis motor. The door chime is not working properly in that some of the hammers are not striking properly. sometimes they reach the tubes and sometimes not. This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. This is a repeating pattern.If a lighted door button is used, the solution is to either replace the button with a non-lighted version, or open the button and disconnect the light inside it.Yes, I had this problem myself. I had replaced an old doorbell button with a new, lighted one. I ripped out the tiny light inside and it worked fine after that.
