A plunger on my 50 year old door chime is not returning to the rest position when the door chime is not activated. The consequence is a continuous buzz and erratic operation when the button is pressed.Have I provided sufficient information to diagnose the ease of repair?Thank you.Jim

Unit stopped working. Have 16+ volts coming to it but no sound. Assume the syncronous motor is out... Telechron model M3151, Type H18, 3.6 rpm, 60 cy, 16 v. Is the replacement motor available? Price?Could it be anything else? All wiring is in tact on board.Thanks, Bob

I have the exact same problem, but it\'s not caused by a lighted doorbell. Without the doorbell connect (and not crossing the wires) the chime mechanism keeps repeating. I have gone through the trouble shooting I have 16 volts to the main unit just nothing coming out of main unit. like its acting as if there is no voltage. will not power up, no intercom, no radio is it replacement time or can this be repaired relatively cheap?
