I have a old intercom in an apartment building that has door locks, buzzer, and voice. the call and voice speaker does not work. all the other apartments are working good. Is there a replacement for the apartment units. or a upgrade?

I have the exact same problem, but it\'s not caused by a lighted doorbell. Without the doorbell connect (and not crossing the wires) the chime mechanism keeps repeating. I\'m not sure whether it\'s because the contacts aren\'t lined up correctly or whether it\'s a wiring problem. We purchased our present home in 1998. It was custom built in 1983 with many upgrades that were available at that time. Unfortunately since we have lived here the system does not work. I believe it is a model 631 or 632 but I\'m not sure - WHERE CAN I FIND THE MODEL NUMBER? (I\'ve seen pics of what appear to be identical units labeled 631/632).I\'ve got it hooked up and the basic functions seem to be working - ie front doorbell and westminster chimes.However, as a kid, I seem to remember this thing also chiming on the hour and perhaps, single notes on the quarter hour, but it doesn\'t do that any more. Am I imagining things or has dad disabled this function somehow?I do see two screws on the extreme upper-right of the circuit board that have a jumper installed. What\'s that for?Lastly, I\'d like to install a 2nd door bell in the basement (I work at home, in my office basement and can\'t hear the main bell all the time). Before installing the Rittenhouse, I just had two bells wired together in parallel, but when I tried to do this with the Rittenhouse, it just triggered the chimes.
