We installed our Rittenhouse intercom system in 1978 when we built our new home. The speakers look out of date and would like a better main unit. We have 4 outside units, and 7 speakers.Can we purchase new units and still use the same wiring? Would appreciate a response ASAP. Thanks Jim MannP.S. My manual says 4-8 Note Chime Models (534, 535, 552, 577, 618, 633). I don't know which one I have. It has long chime tubes and a clock on top. The door bell works great, but the clock doesn't.

Hi, need repair to this unit, sound cuts in and out when volume control knob is turned/wiggled. Moving molex 5 pin connector on circuit board also causes power to cut in and out. Mode delector knob has become stiff to operate. Please send estimate if repair is possible, thanks

Need new springs for the hammers. This is an old door bell and it has lasted about 40 years. The new ones are sick. This is the best I have heard and would like to keep it another 40 years.

The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. A Rittenhouse model 312 came with my home. It works but the chimes are not loud enough to heard unless you are in the room where the doorbell is mounted.I would hate to replace it because other than this it is very workable.
