I recently moved into a house that has the Rittenhouse All Transistor RCM-1 system in every room. It\'s obvious this system has not worked in a few years, but I want to repair it and keep it with the time of the home. A newer system would take away from it\'s appeal. Don\'t know what\'s wrong with the unit. Do ya\'ll know what the input voltage is supposed to be? The back of the unit says only use a \"no. 35 transformer\".

The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place.
