We purchased our present home in 1998. It was custom built in 1983 with many upgrades that were available at that time. Unfortunately since we have lived here the system does not work. The main unit is 17\' wide and 9\" tall. There are 12 units scattered throughout the house. They each measure 7.5\"…Purchase or Repair: ...We purchased our present home in 1998. I think what we have may be on the large size as far as the measurements of each room speaker and the main system as well. because of this we are afraid we are looking at a major renovation to replace it. New drywall and all that. Is there a possibility that it can be repaired or does Rittenhouse have a replacement that would fit? Please advise.Thank you,Marie Gunderman

We installed our Rittenhouse intercom system in 1978 when we built our new home. The speakers look out of date and would like a better main unit. I have a ritenhouse emerson door chime unit. It just started chimeing for no reason I had to disconnect it to silence it. Now when I hooked it back up nothing happens. Clock doesn\'t work, chimes don\'t work.Model 086331 4 tubed chime It also has a teledcrome syncronis motor. I moved this door chime/clock when it was working from one home to another. The electrician that hooked it up did not do it correctly and I have no schematic for how it should be wired. Ihave about a 30 year old rittenhouse with 4 chimes.It seems that the solenoids that activate the strikers,are getting a little lazy.I have had one apart and try to clean it ,with not much succes,I even lost one of those tiny springs.
