I\'m working on a unit which has been in the family for years.Emerson- Rittenhouse RC 633, 16 voltOne of the solenoid/hammers don\'t work. Seems that the hammer is jammed in the tube. I\'d like to replace the solenoid. How may I order another one.Ron 305 803-5441

It was there when I moved in so there is no manual for it.My problem is, after a thunder and lightening storm the other day, I came home to find all 3 units ringing. The only way I could silence them was to switch off the circuit breaker. If I turn the breaker back on the alarms start sounding again. How do I reset them. There is no apparent reset button; nor can I find a master control box or module anywhere. Do they use them? They are connected to the ceiling box by 4 wires. Any help would be appreciated. I have a 30 year old rittenhouse door chime with the 4 sequential chimes, one of the plungers has gone lazy. I took the transformer out to try to clean it and lost the little spring that gives the plunger resistance . Do you have any ideas ?Or do you sell parts, perhaps a whole tansformer. This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. This is a repeating pattern.If a lighted door button is used, the solution is to either replace the button with a non-lighted version, or open the button and disconnect the light inside it.Yes, I had this problem myself. I had replaced an old doorbell button with a new, lighted one. I ripped out the tiny light inside and it worked fine after that.

The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place. We purchased our present home in 1998. It was custom built in 1983 with many upgrades that were available at that time. Unfortunately since we have lived here the system does not work. I think what we have may be on the large size as far as the measurements of each room speaker and the main system as well. because of this we are afraid we are looking at a major renovation to replace it. Hello, I have a rittenhouse door sentry. #M9035 w/ a M 9305 door station. The indoor station seems to work, it unlocks the door when the button is pushed. The M9305 out side station is my problem, the speaker is fried and the button is missing.
