I AM LOOKING FOR A DOOR CHIME FOR MY BUSINESS THAT WHEN SOMEONE ENTERS THE FRONT DOOR THAT I WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR THE CHIME IN OTHER AREAS OF MY BUILDING AS WELL. I NEED SOMETHING THAT WILL HAVE A LOUD CHIME BECAUSE MY BUILDING HAS MACHINERY RUNNING ALL THE TIME. CAN YOU SEND ME SOME INFORMATION. THANK YOU

This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. This is a repeating pattern.If a lighted door button is used, the solution is to either replace the button with a non-lighted version, or open the button and disconnect the light inside it.Yes, I had this problem myself. I had replaced an old doorbell button with a new, lighted one. I ripped out the tiny light inside and it worked fine after that.

The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place. Existing model was put in my home maybe late 60\'s, with ivory base unit and 4 ivory receivers plus brass door unit intercom.
