I need to purchase a new door bell system comparable with the existing system. I have a one unit on the main level and the other in the basement. The Model number of the existing system is C8203 16 volts AC. I need both units to include outside switch. Also where are the transformers located for this? V/R Charlie

I have the above model doorbell and really like the sound vs. the new \"electronic sound\" doorbells. Problem is the mechanism inside the doorbell (the part with the two knockers that the wires attach that hit the bells to make the sound) no longer works. Similiar issue, my doorbell kept sticking. So I replaced the sticky button but now my springs inside the bell housing seem to be sprung and unable to move the plunger the full range to ring or retract.

I have the exact same problem, but it\'s not caused by a lighted doorbell. Without the doorbell connect (and not crossing the wires) the chime mechanism keeps repeating.
