Don\'t know what\'s wrong with the unit. Do ya\'ll know what the input voltage is supposed to be? The back of the unit says only use a \"no. 35 transformer\".

The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place. Installed in 1987 when we built the house. Has begun sporadic multiple, single dings, all hours, day and night. I have replaced, back up battery and fuse in motor. Now makes a fairly loud buzzing sound also. Thoughts?
