My dad just passed away and I\'m moving his Rittenhouse Westminster clock/chime from his place to mine before selling the house. I believe it is a model 631 or 632 but I\'m not sure - WHERE CAN I FIND THE MODEL NUMBER? I believe it is a model 631 or 632 but I\'m not sure - WHERE CAN I FIND THE MODEL NUMBER? (I\'ve seen pics of what appear to be identical units labeled 631/632).I\'ve got it hooked up and the basic functions seem to be working - ie front doorbell and westminster chimes.However, as a kid, I seem to remember this thing also chiming on the hour and perhaps, single notes on the quarter hour, but it doesn\'t do that any more. Am I imagining things or has dad disabled this function somehow?I do see two screws on the extreme upper-right of the circuit board that have a jumper installed. What\'s that for?Lastly, I\'d like to install a 2nd door bell in the basement (I work at home, in my office basement and can\'t hear the main bell all the time). Before installing the Rittenhouse, I just had two bells wired together in parallel, but when I tried to do this with the Rittenhouse, it just triggered the chimes. What is the terminal marked EXT FRONT for?Thanx....

It was there when I moved in so there is no manual for it.My problem is, after a thunder and lightening storm the other day, I came home to find all 3 units ringing. The only way I could silence them was to switch off the circuit breaker. If I turn the breaker back on the alarms start sounding again. How do I reset them. There is no apparent reset button; nor can I find a master control box or module anywhere. Do they use them? They are connected to the ceiling box by 4 wires. Any help would be appreciated. We purchased our present home in 1998. It was custom built in 1983 with many upgrades that were available at that time. Unfortunately since we have lived here the system does not work. I think what we have may be on the large size as far as the measurements of each room speaker and the main system as well. because of this we are afraid we are looking at a major renovation to replace it. New drywall and all that. Is there a possibility that it can be repaired or does Rittenhouse have a replacement that would fit? Please advise.Thank you,Marie Gunderman

I have the above model doorbell and really like the sound vs. the new \"electronic sound\" doorbells. Problem is the mechanism inside the doorbell (the part with the two knockers that the wires attach that hit the bells to make the sound) no longer works. Ihave about a 30 year old rittenhouse with 4 chimes.It seems that the solenoids that activate the strikers,are getting a little lazy.I have had one apart and try to clean it ,with not much succes,I even lost one of those tiny springs.
