need wiring, replacement parts and pic of the model noted above. front door pushbutton lights, but no response from chime unit. the backdoor is working normal one chime. What may be wrong? the unit has a selector switch to scroll thru various chimes.

This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. A Rittenhouse model 312 came with my home. It works but the chimes are not loud enough to heard unless you are in the room where the doorbell is mounted.I would hate to replace it because other than this it is very workable.

I have the exact same problem, but it\'s not caused by a lighted doorbell. Without the doorbell connect (and not crossing the wires) the chime mechanism keeps repeating. Hi, need repair to this unit, sound cuts in and out when volume control knob is turned/wiggled. Moving molex 5 pin connector on circuit board also causes power to cut in and out. Mode delector knob has become stiff to operate. Please send estimate if repair is possible, thanks
