I bought a house built in 1950 with an old Rittenhouse door chime, Model #365. I have no idea if it can be repaired. I don\'t have the front door button. The inner workings are very dirty. Do you think it\'s worth sending to you? Thanks, Kathie

Was working well until I sanded and painted the kitchen. I took the chimes down to paint, put them back and nothing works. I get voltage coming in but it doesn\'t move anything.

It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place. Installed in 1987 when we built the house. Has begun sporadic multiple, single dings, all hours, day and night. I have replaced, back up battery and fuse in motor. Now makes a fairly loud buzzing sound also. Thoughts?
