I have a rittenhouse model c8204 that stopped working, had been working for years. New outside doorbell installed my be the cause.Can I test the bell by shorting the two screw terminals on the rittenhouse inside unit.

This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. Portion of control board was electrically shorted. Troubleshooting is underway. A circuit diagram and parts list would be helpful. How can I obtain them?

I get typically one of three chimes to sound when the doorbell is rung, occassionally 2 followed by a buzzing sound. Some of the wires were loose and I tightened them, but still don\'t get all the tones. Any ideas on what to do to get all three chimes to ring?
