We installed our Rittenhouse intercom system in 1978 when we built our new home. The speakers look out of date and would like a better main unit. We have 4 outside units, and 7 speakers.Can we purchase new units and still use the same wiring? Would appreciate a response ASAP. Thanks Jim MannP.S. I have gone through the trouble shooting I have 16 volts to the main unit just nothing coming out of main unit. like its acting as if there is no voltage. will not power up, no intercom, no radio is it replacement time or can this be repaired relatively cheap?

I get typically one of three chimes to sound when the doorbell is rung, occassionally 2 followed by a buzzing sound. Some of the wires were loose and I tightened them, but still don\'t get all the tones. Any ideas on what to do to get all three chimes to ring?
