I recently moved into a house that has the Rittenhouse All Transistor RCM-1 system in every room. It\'s obvious this system has not worked in a few years, but I want to repair it and keep it with the time of the home. A newer system would take away from it\'s appeal. This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again.
