Front door button will only ring one time. Side door button will only ring one time. Want front door to ring two times (ding-dong). Don\'t see how to wire it right.

Installed in 1987 when we built the house. Has begun sporadic multiple, single dings, all hours, day and night. I have replaced, back up battery and fuse in motor. Now makes a fairly loud buzzing sound also. Thoughts?

4 out of 10 times whenever I press the button it works.How do I know if the transformer that needs replacement or if the wiring itself that went wrong? This unit puts out a chirping sound (Similar to sound of a smoke alarm) on a continuous basis, one chirp about every 30 seconds. Please advise what I should do, short of disconnecting the unit, to stop this annoying sound.Thank you,Richard Baer

Need new springs for the hammers. This is an old door bell and it has lasted about 40 years. The new ones are sick. This is the best I have heard and would like to keep it another 40 years.
