I am dealing with an old (20+ years) Mag-Pipe Transmitter and Flow unit. Recently, have been getting an output signal from the transmitter when there was no flow in the pipe. It was a steady signal - and not indicative of what are actual flows are. I disconnected one of the transmitters 4-20 output leads and upon reconnection - found there to be no output, 0 flow on my flow meter. For one week the unit has worked fine - reading flow when the pump is on, reading 0 flow when off. Howeve, this morning the same problem occured - reading flow when there was none. My questions -1) Is this a problem with the transmitter or the flow tube?2) Is there any simple \"fix\" for this problem?3) If it is the transmitter - is it more cost effective to replace than repair? I appreciate any help and support. Randy Schanz
