One way to test whether it is your controller or a motor is to switch the plug from the nonfunctioning section (Head, Foot or Bed) into the recepticle for one of the working sections, then use that control button to test the motor itself. Example: If the head does not work but the foot does, unplug the head motor and plug it into the socket for the foot motor. Use the Foot control buttons to raise and lower the head. If the head now works, the problem most likely lies in the controller itself; usually the button itself has failed and the entire controller must be replaced. I am currently looking for a controller myself.

Switching the wires in hand contoller to raise then switch wires again to lower chair. I believe the switch in the hand controller is bad and needs to be replaced. The motor works ok.
