Eight chime unit {552} repeats sequence continually until switch is disconnected. Switch has been replaced but problem continues----any ideas and is it repairable.....

This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. Due to the worn-weakened spring on the hitting bar which do not pop out from the solenoid hole. Do you sell the spring or the entire solenoid with the hitting bar?

Similiar issue, my doorbell kept sticking. So I replaced the sticky button but now my springs inside the bell housing seem to be sprung and unable to move the plunger the full range to ring or retract.
