I HAVE A RITTENHOUSE INTERCOM AM/FM SYSTEM , MODEL # 9042 AND I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT SIZE[POWER REQUIREMENT] TRANSFORMER [ 4 WIRE] I NEED. I DO NOT HAVE THE OLD ONE. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS

I have a Rittenhouse / Emerson intercom system with individual stations for each room. Two of the intercom speakers nolonger work. When I opened them they have one red, one yellow and one black wire leading from the unit. Is it possible to get them worked on or replaced. Hello, I have a rittenhouse door sentry. #M9035 w/ a M 9305 door station. The indoor station seems to work, it unlocks the door when the button is pushed. The M9305 out side station is my problem, the speaker is fried and the button is missing. 4 out of 10 times whenever I press the button it works.How do I know if the transformer that needs replacement or if the wiring itself that went wrong? This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again. This is a repeating pattern.If a lighted door button is used, the solution is to either replace the button with a non-lighted version, or open the button and disconnect the light inside it.Yes, I had this problem myself. I had replaced an old doorbell button with a new, lighted one. I ripped out the tiny light inside and it worked fine after that.

We purchased our present home in 1998. It was custom built in 1983 with many upgrades that were available at that time. Unfortunately since we have lived here the system does not work. There are 12 units scattered throughout the house. They each measure 7.5\" tall by 8\" wide. I think what we have may be on the large size as far as the measurements of each room speaker and the main system as well. because of this we are afraid we are looking at a major renovation to replace it. New drywall and all that. Is there a possibility that it can be repaired or does Rittenhouse have a replacement that would fit? Please advise.Thank you,Marie Gunderman

The door chime is not working properly in that some of the hammers are not striking properly. sometimes they reach the tubes and sometimes not. They are all active but not as strong as they should be .I have turned down the adjuster and none strike and when turned up, it is as I have described .
