I AM A ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT NUTONE WILL WORK USING EXISTING WIRING THE PROBLEM IS NUTONE WILL NOT WARRANTY IF YOU DO NOT USE NUTONE WIRE, BUT THEY DO HAVE A 30 DAY RETURN POLICY TRY THE SYSTEM IF IT DOES NOT WORK TAKE IT BACK ASAP

A Rittenhouse model 312 came with my home. It works but the chimes are not loud enough to heard unless you are in the room where the doorbell is mounted.I would hate to replace it because other than this it is very workable.

The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place. I have Model 380 16V. I had connected it ot a Ring Video 2 Doorbell and it worked fine for several months. Now there is a loud humm coming from the chime. I think the Ring ihas a problem.
