It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place. My manual says 4-8 Note Chime Models (534, 535, 552, 577, 618, 633). I don't know which one I have. It has long chime tubes and a clock on top. The door bell works great, but the clock doesn't.

Need new springs for the hammers. This is an old door bell and it has lasted about 40 years. The new ones are sick. This is the best I have heard and would like to keep it another 40 years.

Unit stopped working. Have 16+ volts coming to it but no sound. Assume the syncronous motor is out... Telechron model M3151, Type H18, 3.6 rpm, 60 cy, 16 v. Is the replacement motor available? Price?Could it be anything else? All wiring is in tact on board.Thanks, Bob
