Rittenhouse Service & Repair Forum
I recently moved into a house that has the Rittenhouse All Transistor RCM-1 system in every room. It\'s obvious this system has not worked in a few years, but I want to repair it and keep it with the time of the home. A newer system would take away from it\'s appeal. Is there anyone in the Tulsa, OK area that could help me?Thank you,Candy Cicoria

The small piston that strikes the chime does not return back to the original position. There is a spring on the piston. It seems like the piston should have a retainer of some sort on the end to hold the spring in place. I get typically one of three chimes to sound when the doorbell is rung, occassionally 2 followed by a buzzing sound. Some of the wires were loose and I tightened them, but still don\'t get all the tones. Any ideas on what to do to get all three chimes to ring?
