Rittenhouse Service & Repair Forum
I recently moved into a house that has the Rittenhouse All Transistor RCM-1 system in every room. It\'s obvious this system has not worked in a few years, but I want to repair it and keep it with the time of the home. A newer system would take away from it\'s appeal. My manual says 4-8 Note Chime Models (534, 535, 552, 577, 618, 633). I don't know which one I have. It has long chime tubes and a clock on top. The door bell works great, but the clock doesn't.

I get typically one of three chimes to sound when the doorbell is rung, occassionally 2 followed by a buzzing sound. Some of the wires were loose and I tightened them, but still don\'t get all the tones. Any ideas on what to do to get all three chimes to ring?
