I recently moved into a house that has the Rittenhouse All Transistor RCM-1 system in every room. It\'s obvious this system has not worked in a few years, but I want to repair it and keep it with the time of the home. A newer system would take away from it\'s appeal. Hi, need repair to this unit, sound cuts in and out when volume control knob is turned/wiggled. Moving molex 5 pin connector on circuit board also causes power to cut in and out. Mode delector knob has become stiff to operate. Please send estimate if repair is possible, thanks

A Rittenhouse model 312 came with my home. It works but the chimes are not loud enough to heard unless you are in the room where the doorbell is mounted.I would hate to replace it because other than this it is very workable.

This problem may be caused by a lighted doorbell. After the bell is wrung, the light will re-illuminate. When that happens it may be drawing just enough power to make the door chimes think that the button was pressed once again.
